INITIAL PERSON ON SCENE (IPOS) FIRST AID

Do you work in high risk activities and need a first aid qualification that surpasses First Aid at Work?

This course is suitable for people aged 18+ who require a higher level of first aid training other than the First aid at work certificate. The First Aid Regulations 1981 & 1982 allows organisations to seek higher levels of first aid training to match their specific needs. Organisations whose needs assessment has identified a requirement for additional first aid training, such as having employees working in hard to get and remote locations, such as in Forestry, construction, in-shore fisheries, highways & other high threat areas found in the Security & Events sectors may find this level of training suitable for their needs.

Additional topics covered above the first aid at work syllabus, such as roles & responsibilities, minimising risk of infection, gaining patient consent, this course goes deeper into situations and treatment for a variety of injuries and medical conditions and the Principles of Scene Management as the Initial Person on Scene at the Incident.

This Ofqual regulated Initial Person on Scene of an Incident qualification, includes the use of oxygen and analgesic gases.

You do not need any other first aid qualifications to attend this course, and it can also be used as an alternative to First Aid at Work if required.
